To
All Who are the Church Family of St. Luke:
“How can I repay the Lord for all the good that He has done.” Psalm 116
For the past two years you have shared with me many blessings. I have been most fortunate to have been a part of this Church family. I thank Monsignor Flood, the priests, the deacon, and staff who have done so much to assist me. It has been a joy to offer Mass and I feel very close to the daily Mass folks, and certainly, the children. What a great school is on Fairhill Avenue. You have enabled me every day to continue to say my attitude is gratitude.
My choice to go to Villa Saint Joseph in Darby is caused by a diminishing of my vision; I only wish that I could remain here. With great gratitude I promise to remember each of you in my prayers and hopefully I shall be back at St. Luke at some time. Always remember what a tremendous Church family are you. St. Luke’s is a parish that every other Church should emulate. It starts at the top and ends with the child baptized today.
God Bless and Thank You,
- Rev. Msgr. John F. O’Brien
P.S.
Thank you immensely for your many prayers and gifts. Goodbyes are difficult,
thus you will understand that I will not be back on the weekend of May 29/30th.
We have posted Msgr. Flood's recent homilies. Use the button on the left or click here.
